We are stuck. That is not necessarily a bad thing, just sort of same ole, same ole. We have had our house on the market for some time now and decided to take it off and stay put for a while. With the economy being so bad, we were not getting offers anywhere near what we were asking for it. So we decided to use some of the equity in our house to remodel the kitchen and living room, finish the basement, fence in the yard, and put flooring in our attic to make more room. DeLorean Sells for $541,000 to Benefit Charity

Remember “Back to the Future” with Michael J Fox? Well, one of the first DeLorean DMC-12 cars that appeared in the movie series was auctioned off for Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. It’s great to see that people of means are spending money in this tough economy on things that  benefit charity. Sure it’s a sick ride, but hey it’s for a good cause. $541k is a heck of a price to pay for a new toy! What’s the car really worth? Try $30k!

Arguments Driving Ruin Christmas

Almost half the people in Great Britain responded to a Christmas survey saying that arguments in the car ruined their holiday. The survey was conducted by British auto insurance company Allianz Your Cover. Pretty normal if you ask me – I can’t tell you how many arguments I’ve gotten into while driving. Mostly it’s because of back-seat drivers! Read about this survey here.
