We live in Arizona, and I love just about everything about it here. It never rains which is such a blessing and there’s tons of outdoorsy stuff to do like hiking and rafting. My husband is actually a marathoner and this is perfect weather for him to practice in and it’s pretty flat, which is also good for running. The only downside to living here are the wildfires – there seems to be at least one every year that threatens our land. We invested in a security system (www.SECURITYCHOICE.com) that sets off in the case of fire and we’ve built a couple of stone retaining walls to make sure it can’t get through, but I know one of these days our number is going to be up and our house is going to be right in the line of fire, literally. Until then, we’re doing everything we can do to keep this place safe and loving our surroundings. How can you not feel good about living in nature like this!?
